Anybody out there have any information on Jimmy Garrett please?
Jimmy backed Diana Ross and the Supremes on their 1968 European tour and also at the 'Farewell' concert in 1970.
I saw him at the Supremes 'London Talk of the Town' gig conducting the orchestra with his Fender neck.
I'd love to find out more about him.

I'm still digging for more information too. I own his P Bass featured in this video. I have searched for 2 years for a pic or video of him playing it. Cheers! Invalid Link Removed

There's some additional info over here, but it's hardly exhaustive. Very cool about your Precision...how were you able to trace its provenance?

A gentleman I play in a band with, is from NY, as I am also. He worked at the Apollo, and did quite a bit of work with Jimmies wife Ella. They were friends for a long time, and when she became ill, she gave it to my bandmate. He gave it to me a couple years ago. Priceless instrument!
