Joe was one of those guys we covered heavily when the whole "Americana" movement was getting started in the 80s.

That is a shame. I always appreciated him and dug his records. The first time I heard him was in 1981 when a coworker brought in his album. We had a turntable set up in the back of the warehouse and as long as we kept on working, we could play the music we liked. This turned out to be a steady rotation LP on our playlist. Damn shame on his passing. RIP Joe. The good news keeps on coming.
