Double Bass Joe Martin

I've been listening to his playing on 2 Kurt Rosenwinkel records that I own and love: The Remedy and Intuit. Lately I have become smitten by his playing and sound so I was wondering if any of you guys could shed some light on him, especially where gear and set-up is concerned. I've looked at his site a bunch and everything so I'm more curious about specific things. Thanks!

He seems like it. I emailed him once about lessons and he seemed really open to it.

Reviving an old thread. Caught him last night as part of the Mark Turner Quartet. Joe was outstanding and the interplay between him and drummer Jonathon Pinson was a real treat. Definitely recommend catching that group.
