John Davis Fx Demo Vid

hey autopilot, thanks for making a sweet pedal!

glad people are enjoying the video... go support the people making it and brad at tone factor...

it is a fun pedal. the glide sound is probably because i was playing fretless for that video.

yay. my filming skills suck, but i'lll work on it. the camera was taped to a music stand for that one.

i guess it is more of an FM fuzz... yeah. when i did the video i couldn't really remember... but technically, FM and AM are both types of cross modulation... so i was only half ********.

there is a good explanation on the copilot site.

anyway, yeah, Steve, i hear you on the gain vs. modulation thing. i wasn't sure i was going to want to keep the thing, but it does some stuff that kind of crosses the line between fuzz and filter/modulation that earned it a space on the board. sort of like the noise box, in that it does such a unique thing i can't really consider it a 'gain' pedal or a 'filter' pedal... it is sort of some weird hybrid of all of the above.

it's great to ruin pitch. this thing behaves really well... i generally just use it for the 303 type sounds. it's also great to sweep a filter after it.

A good word about Adam at Copilot and his warranty -
I bought a used 4 knob Android that didn't function properly. I contacted Adam and he sent me a new one, sight unseen. I received the replacement before I even had the chance to ship back the defective one. Judging from the response I got a few days later, I don't think he even expected me to actually return the damaged Android.
