To me, most of the Myung''s tone is coming from the Music man Bongo. If you have a bongo, HS pickups like him, you should be close enough to make the tricks.

JMs tone pots are in the flat or center detent position on his Bongos. I think the only knob that works is the volume knob. I think it might be in the video posted earlier of his rig rundown.
