John and Sachi recorded John's piece, "One More Angel," at the Upton Bass barn for NPR's Jazz Night in America to honor the jazz world's losses in the past year.

It's a beautiful song and a heartfelt moment.

Sachi Pattitucci has a beautiful vibrato -- nuanced and never rushed -- reflecting both hard work and natural skill, how she hears. (Wish more cellists heard that way!)

"One More Angel" was originally composed by John for John and Sachi's 2 lost pregnancies.
(They were eventually able to have a family.)
Beautiful performance.
TMI - I'm thinking of composing a tune entitled "2021 Kind of Blew, and Sucked".
Thx.
Can I play cello on it? Then it would really suck!
Thanks for the history on the tune. It really is beautiful and the cello playing is inspiring
