My favourite bassist, fantastic sound...could you help me to identify John Stirratt's effects on his pedal board? I see the boss u tuner, but what about the rest?
Thanks

Great thread. I came to Wilco very late, but they are without a doubt my favorite contemporary band and one of my favorite bands, period.

Would anyone venture a guess as to what John uses to get the distortion on "I Might" from "The Whole Love". I love the way he goes from clean to nasty on that track.

If that is in part due to the Depth Charge Fuzz, then I may have to add one to my pedal board.

No info, just wanted to say he's a good dude. I met him at a Lakland GTG a couple years ago, we talked basses for a couple minutes and he signed the back of the headstock of one of my Lakies.
Now that is a tasty rig.

That amp looks mighty nice, but mighty pricey: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
Yep, for sure. I've been meaning to demo that beauty. Nels Cline has used their guitar head for years, I would bet Stirratt spurred them to build a bass head.
