His youtube lessons seem to have ended about 3 years ago.

I just acquired a six string (fretted) and I'm looking for online instruction as a jumping off point in the vein of, for lack of a better term, "chord melody". Not totally focused on melody; more in the nature of bass and chordal accompaniment for a melody instrument in a duo or trio setting.

I haven't heard from him in quite some time either, but -- assuming this isn't obvious to you already -- I can recommend the video courses by Janek Gwizdala, like his [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] series, which mainly deals with chords on bass. I don't know whether he offers 1 on 1 online tuition, but these video courses are quite amazing.
