Local guy has a fun project. It’s psychedelic, pre-Gilmour Floyd, Abbey Road Beatles, weird early Sabbath sounding, with a really out there concept about gnomes and stuff.
My 17 year old is his videographer, and earlier my son mentioned that the bass player is in several more active bands and is leaving. The leader, also named Chris, currently records everything himself out of necessity and wants it to be more of a collaborative real band (the other members are pretty spread out).
I haven’t jammed electric with anyone in quite a few years, so I’m really excited. Taking my P-Bass and the Strat I just refinished and put back together. The leader is older than me, and wants to perform occasionally, which is perfect for my crappy retail manager schedule.
Like I said, I’m pretty excited about getting into a project, especially when the guy lives less than a mile away. Going over to play tomorrow night.
