So I'm not sure if many people know who Jonathan Ahrens is, but I discovered his bass playing through an album by Kate Voegele that I found at goodwill today. Checking his discography on Discogs he's also allegedly played on albums by Jewel. But I decided to check out some of his bass playing on the Kate Voegele album I bought today.
Does anyone know what bass he plays? It sounds to me like a Fender Precision or a Fender Jazz. In fact, I found a photo of him playing a Fender Jazz:
And a Fender Precision:
No clue as to what amps Jonathan uses, but it sounds like an Ampeg.
But if anyone has info please let me know. I believe that he is also a member of this site, and I guess I will have to private message him.
