So I've played guitar for over 45 years. I've sat in as a bassist for quite a few of those years, but never considered myself a bassist until recently. I've been playing bass on our worship team for about 4 years now. (Only due to lack of bass players. We have more than enough guitarists.)
I have the run of the mill low to mid level brands of basses, but I now want an American Fender Precision V string. Nobody seems to have them new in stock. I really want to try before I buy, but locally that market is dry as well. The only 5 string I've found in stock is the Miami Blue Precision II. I just can't pull off that color.
So does anyone have a line on a clean used Precision V? I've searched reverb and found a couple, but I'm a little wary of what's out there right now. I've heard stories of the warped neck syndrome.
Any help would be great.
