Joyo American Sound problem?

I really love American Sound's tone. It's perfect. But the only issue is that the Joyo doesnt have the di output. Should i go for a chinese di box?

Just get an inexpensive little passive DI. You can get a Behringer Ultra DI DI400P for less than 20 bucks that is a solid little workhorse - I have been using one for years for all sorts of things and it does the trick.

The problem is that a cheap DI could sound... cheap. Try to get something decent. Not necessarily expensive, but good. Otherwise you're wasting all your efforts and money invested in the rest of the chain to give you the sound you want.

It is all relative, certainly in some situations in a head to head shoot out with reference quality gear some people might notice a slight improvement with a higher quality DI, maybe. Those little Behringer DI's are quite durable, quiet and transparent.

There are certainly situations where a better quality DI is a must but even there you will be surprised how often the tried and true and affordable options are the standard fare.

Indeed, that's why I remarked on getting something good, not necessarily expensive. I've experienced nice and not so nice DIs, and a not so nice DI can be so disappointing. There's no need to splash on a Radial (although it would be nice), but I wouldn't go to AliExpress and buy the cheapest box with no name that says DI, which is what I understood in the message I was responding to when he said something about getting a "chinese DI box".

AliExpress or Pyle or something no name on Ebay, agreed. But there are so many "new" and alternative names it's hard to keep up
