I met a great luthier at the Tacoma Guitar Festival yesterday. His name is Jim Turturici and he operates JT Custom Basses in Des Moines, Washington (not Iowa) outside of Seattle.
His basses have great craftsmanship, unique designs, superior hardware and electronics. The basses sound like Wall basses to my ears.
