Jule Amps Monique part 4

Nothing. Monique's Line Out into Puma's Effects Send Line In. All the Puma's knobs are turned off except Master Volume. And of course, the cab is plugged into the Puma.

I'm sure this was just a typo, but just to clarify it goes into the Puma FX return line in.

It seems logical you may have more perceived volume going through the front end of the Puma because you are running your signal through another gain stage (preamp of puma). I tried this and it did sound good, but I prefer to go right into the fx return. It sounds more organic IMO, even with the puma power section coloration.

I definitely think Mo sounds better with my crest pro lite than using my Puma fx return, but not enough for me to carry the crest around all the time, especially since I have a dovecage.

Yes, it was a typo. RETURN is correct.

Still shocked nobody has posted about using an SWR Amplite with the dove cage. Looks like a good footprint match. Half the price of a Minnie, though half the watts.

I have one that I was going to try a Monique out with but it's fan is really quite noisy and it's power output is only around 235 watts RMS 20-20Khz and .2% distortion. The more closer I got to spending $1300+ on a Monique the more I realized I'd have to upgrade my power amp as well.

I think it would sound great though! It's based on the ICE POWER 125asx amp module.

If anyone has anything helpful to say about the top end -- or if there is any simple way to open it up slightly -- please chime in! Maybe my feelings (already mostly positive) will change once I've played it live.
I found Monique (through the Shuttle FX return) to be a little soft in the high end. I dialed in a 6db boost at 5k and 7k on my Para EQ and it's perfect. I run into a CN112 with the tweeter disabled.
