July 4th

Got smashed and ate 30 wings last night, followed by some $$$ cigars my friend got from his dead grandpa. Headed out for a redneck 4th celebration (random camper in the woods north of Butler for those familiar, so you know it's legit). (Cheap) Beer, mud, fireworks, probably stop and get greasy fair food. shag yeah America!

Real quiet day today. No kids, grandkids or guests. Wow this is the first time in 40 years we are alone for the fourth.
Smoked some ribs, wife made a new type of potato. Four bean salad and fresh corn.
Those ribs were some of the best I've made.Everything else very good.
The fun starts later. Our Shepard Lab mix does not like fireworks, thunder, drums or bass guitar.
I hope everyone has a fun and safe day. Ours was great!

I'm still waiting for my inner demons to take over, not easy to do with a glass of spring water (Coors light).
I think there's a crew coming later that brings Wild Turkey or Old Grandad to every event. Then the **** will hit the fan !

Cooked a bunch of dead animals - 15 people. 16 burgers, 16 brats, 20 chicken drums, a small pork loin. Baked potatoes, veggies, blah, blah. Way too much beer for the cook(me) - the wife and I got into a brief f-u but then we reeled it back down.:rolleyes:
