Just a curious question. What picks do you use?

I don't use pics anymore after seeing frank bello play live, but when I did I used eithe the blue Dunlop max grips or the yellow Dunlop gel pics, I think they were both 1mm maybe 1.5

Mainly a finger player. When (very rarely) a pick is needed, I use some random heavy or extraheavy: no matter which brand, just as long they have enough grip in my fingers and enough smooth surface on the string. Usually standard shape.

I play both pick and fingerstyle, whatever the song calls for. I play rhythm guitar as well, and I've been a regular user of the Dunlop Tortex 1.18 (purple) regular shape for years. I love the feel and how it's unyielding to my aggressive styles on both bass and rhythm.

And now for real. If I pick then I prefer the black ones. They're not too thick, just under 1 mm, but don't bend easily.

Orange Tortex (50mm I think?) or Dunlop Nylon 50mm. The textured surface of the nylon picks makes it easier to grip when I get a little schwetty.

Tortex yellow 0.73. I prefer the high mid response off them. Anything higher gets more low end heavy. I also have a tendency to drop heavier picks.

i usually play finger style ... played with a pick for a little while long ago after switching from gtr to bass ... early/mid 70's ... iff i'd use a pick now , it's definitely for a certain effect/sound ...

Same here, I used to almost exclusively use a pick, but only occasionally now.
The pick I use depends on the sound I'm after: felt, heavy Dunlop, or polished agate all give different tones.
