Just a Nut III

I just bought a 2000 Warwick Thumb NT 5. The plastic Jan II that is on it is cracked and in need of replacing. I would really like to get a new Brass Jan III but they are somewhat costly. If anybody has experience with them I would like to know if they are worth the money and how much trouble am I looking at in changing it. My other option is to get one of the new tedur/graphite one for much cheaper. I am open to any input or suggestions. Thanks

Jan III are on evilbay for like $32 w/free ship. I have a Jan II that hasn't let me down yet.

However with a string change of my new bass with the Jan III...
I noticed one of the pegs shipped out half cracked which left me thinking this isn't a great re-design either.

It's holding for now but I'm going to get the warranty to take care of it. It's only a few days old.

Good luck

I have a similar issue with my new-used $$5. The JAN2 is still in functional shape, but some of the plastic on the edges has broken off and I've considered changing it for a JAN3. Are the nuts easy to replace? Is the base of the JAN simply glued on, or are they bolted/something else?

Thanks for posting the link Gabriel51. The replacement process is very easy. If you need to locate a replacement part, feel free to post or PM me and I will help you to locate a dealer in your area, or a distributor for your country. Thanks!
