Just a quicky.........................

Gonna buy a crunchy distortion, seen a few posts about these, but not really enough info.

What is a pedal dist pedal to have and why?

Marshall Guv'nor 2 +

or

Digitech Hot Head

Pro's and con's - should one or both be avoided completely???

Thanks

Hi,

I have the Guv'Nor and the Guv'Nor 2.
The "1" is much much much better sounding.
The GV2 is really not meant for bass. If you have a blend, it might work well but alone is difficult to keep the sound bassy.

Chase one on ebay, they are worth the extra cash I think.

Yeah i was thinking of the bad monkey, but was under the impression it might not have enough gain and the effect getting lost in the mix (I tried the CM-2 and found that)

Although i may try it to see the tone difference.
