just celebrated my 40th

40 is just a number. I started playing bass when I turned 40. I turned 46 just 2 months ago. So, I'd say the 40s are great!

40 was a very liberating year for me....I got divorced!! Life then DID begin at 40!

So far the only birthday that gave me a moment of pause was 55. Long story, but that was a tough one.

I turned 40 last February. It's just as you described above. You're still the same person you were the day before your birthday. It's really not a big deal and I don't see why society puts such a big deal on aging.
