From working in the industries since 2004 (yup building many guitars and basses for other builder and big brand)
i realized the ebonol is the holygrail for fretless tone

So here it is

That bass is build from sonokeling wood and had a 7 pieces neck construction

Wow, gorgeous! You should ask the moderators to move this thread over to Luthier's Corner so they can all drool over it there. :)
This would not go there as it does not contain build process photos

Gorgeous!

I’ve never played a fretless 6. I built a 5 string fretless with partial lines on the edge of the board and I like it. Almost every time I don’t play it somewhere I chastise myself for not playing the fretless. :rollno:
me too..lol! 6 fretless is kinda hard to get and i think not enough builder wanted to explore over this area.. well I think i nailed this one and now i have a better quality sleep lol

Gorgeous top wood. I had to look it up: Sonokeling or Palisandre, also known as Indian Rosewood, is a very dense hardwood. Celebrated for its strength and dark beauty, it has been used for centuries for fine furniture-making. Sonokeling has rich color striations ranging from chocolate to espresso to shades of deep purple. When aged, it deepens to a more uniform color, whereas with young Sonokeling, the pale white sapwood contrasts dramatically against the dark tones of the heartwood.
