EBs sound good for the first few weeks but as many have said will die very quickly. I haven't really noticed this problem with their guitar strings, but perhaps I've just gotten lucky.
Personally I use DR Nickels and Sunbeams. Sound amazing and last forever!
BTW Chris Squire change his strings every gig, but I will not asume out of the that the Roto`s are short lasting.

Just broke my Ernie Ball Super Slinky G String after 6 years of use... these strings have been giving me the tone I've wanted since I put 'em on my bass.
So how's that for not lasting long?
