Just had all four wisdom teeth removed

My wisdom teeth (all four) were impacted. They took them out. They were expecting me to wobble to the car due to the anesthetic; boy were they wrong, I felt like I had just woken up from an awesome night of sleep and was hyper. Anyways this was the day before my 1st day of my junior year in high school. I went of course, with varied advice from stay home for a week to feel what it is like and see if you can go to school. The constant blood in my food that day was irritating.

I postponed my cleaning for a month because my gums were still too sore (good call). Finally got it done the other day and they were all apologetic and warning me how uncomfortable it was going to be.

Are you serious?? Compared to having all 4 wisdoms ripped out, 2 of them surgically, that cleaning was nothing. I'm supposed to "recover" for 2 weeks before the next round. Whatever... :p

It certainly helps that they use ultrasound, now. One nice thing about waiting 15 years between sessions, they come up with all kinds of awesome new technology. :D

I've been putting this off. I need to have one taken out and I'm chicken!

Honestly, it's not all that bad. Yesterday was a little rough, but by the end of the evening I was feeling almost back to normal. They gave me some Oxycodone, which makes my head feel a little bit fuzzy, but at least I'm not in any pain. The whole "liquid diet" thing sucks, but at least it's only for a day or two. I might try some Macaroni and Cheese tonight since that's nice and mushy.

While it is inconvenient for a few days, getting a wisdom tooth yanked when it's recommended is probably a good idea. If you put it off for TOO long and things get out of hand, you'll be in a much worse spot when they have to do things to fix what went wrong rather than if you had just gotten it done in the first place.

...been there, done that...

Add getting the caps on my upper front two teeth replaced (and REGROUND for the replacement) the same day.

That was the LAST time I ever walked through the front door of a dentist's office...and we won't talk about how long ago that was, except that there was still a 19** in the year, and there weren't any other 9's...

...I'm still scared of it...but I know I've gone FAR too long with out a trip to see el dentista...

:hmm:

I think I'm going to have to have mine taken out at some point. Not exactly looking forward to it, but I figure that if it isn't going to kill me, it can't be that bad.

I had all four out... I guess I was really lucky... very little pain at all throughout the ordeal... Didn't get knocked out, just had the Dentists shoot my mouth up xD feels crazy...

BUT the first time I went to go and swap the gauze out freaked the crap out of me... We were at the pharmacy getting the pain pills (that went unused =/) and I went into the bathroom to change it (half curiosity and half mushy bloody gauze)..

The blood just kept coming hahaha...

But hope everything goes ok and you feel alright!!

Don't tell my dentists, but I had a peice of either bacon or sausage that night... took me forever to get down hahah...

Liquid diets can not contain me!:p
