I wouldnt want to do that. Ive lied to my parents thousands of times but what I plan on soing is just showing up in Miami with a short sleve shirt and showing it to them.

If they make a big deal about it over the phone I might be too scared. Besides, theyve seen a few of my friends tattoos so I know their general feelings towards them.

Peace
Nick

I really wasn't suggesting lying.........that's not me at all!

Seems you already know what their reaction will be...........

Good Luck.

Hey, I do like it though!!!

i bet your parents will end up being cool about it since they were more "free-spirited" back in the day.....once you remind them of that, and they see you aren't strung out on drugs, and hookers, all will be well.......i forgot to mention it earlier, but that is a cool tattoo....i am too chicken to get a tattoo.

if i was gonna get one, i was going to get five bass strings on my upper left thigh at the hip joint right about where my bass hangs when i am playing....or a Penn State logo.

very nice, dude!

I got 2 tattoos about 5 years ago when I'd just turned 18, and was still in high school.. my parents didn't know about them for a good year or so afterwards. I'm not sure why I was hesitant to tell them.. I guess I probably didn't take myself too seriously at the time, and didn't want to see their reaction to this 'big' decision I'd made 'for myself'.

How does it feel to get it done on your forearm? Both of mine are on my back, one over each shoulder blade.. one was more painful than the other, but I'd describe the sensation as 'like a really super-fine razor slowly going through your flesh'... as if it's sharp enough to cut really cleanly without causing much pain.. it hurts a bit, but I think being stung by a wasp/bee is a lot worse. I just read a magazine while I had both of mine done. I bled a lot on the 2nd one, because I was sick and had a bunch of blood-
thinning meds in me(don't do that!)

anybody else have some tattoo pics?

It wasnt painful at all.

Kinda like a rug burn except those usually are more of a lingering pain where this didnt bother me unless I really rubbed it.

I think the pain factor is extreemely over-rated, but I do think that if any amount of pain (we know I mean reasonable) would make you think twice about it then you probably dont want it enough to want it for life. That being said I know a lot of people who didnt mind the pain but they minded having that "stupid" design a year or so later.

Oh, I think I should mention again that I am a diabetic. That means Im very very very used to needles. I still think Ive had rugburns that were more painful.

Peace
Nick
