Just made 2 big purchases without telling my partner

Purchase #1

jj2dtcr1wwzlz8y9lifj.jpg

It's an ultra violet burst Combustion x3. Set me back a cool $2,385. Clocks in at JUST under 8 3/4 pounds, and they even offered to put the best strings for metal on it, free of charge. Now to see if I can learn to love the color.

I'll be honest, I've never played a maple neck, and I've always disliked them on sight. I'm curious.

Girlfriend can't really complain though. Not after...

I think you made a grave mistake there. You could have made a couple of ear rings out of volume knobs and bought yourself another Dingwall instead.

Oh, yes she can. Don't fool yourself. The trick is, you need to give her hers, and while she's busy calling her mom, and blasting it on Facebook, walk straight out the door, to your trunk, grab your bass, hold it directly in front of you, walk straight past her, and hang it on the wall. She won't even notice it's something different for a good while. At that point, it is what it is.
