One last thing I forgot to mention. We have a small following and they're 21 or 22 year old guys in a band themselves. The other day in an e-mail our bass player is saying something like "let's put this gig on our MySpace so those moppy headed little twerps who dance funny know we're playing. I think that might have been what really rubbed me wrong. Kick my ass if you want to, but the guy's never even sat down with these guys and talked to them. They are very nice, cool guys - smart, etc., and they like us. I also like them, so I was really either hurt or offended that anyone in our band would dislike our following. But with all I've ranted about I still really like this bass player and would never give up on him. Just not sure how or if I should say anything about that, since I know he'd never say it to them. I just don't understand making fun of anybody, ever. I thought about just saying "if you have issues with our following, could you please just keep it to yourself?" But maybe he was just joking around or something and his sarcasm is so deep it flies over my head. I know from hearing me talk it sounds like we're a band that is in total conflict and we're really not, I'm just bringing up the 5% that is, and I know after tonight, Mike (the bassist) knew I was listening to him because I proved it. Maybe just showing a bit of respect will help him understand that I get what he's saying. I think he was getting scared that I was one of those guys who was going to keep on introducing new crap to complicate us even more, and I'm not.
