Just Ordered a Schecter Diamond P Plus- Anybody own/tried one?

My MIM P doesn't "exactly" line up. The pickguard itself on the Schecter is even shaped a little differently. You could get it to work, but it wouldn't be perfect. I wonder if there's any where you can buy genuine Schecter parts?

You'd probably have to contact Schecter directly. Most likely they only have black and tortise -since those are the colors on the existing models- and that's assuming they're even willing to sell you one. When I contacted ESP about buying an extra for my LTD 214 they said they don't offer any except for warranty repairs.

Definitely worth a try though and there are also a few different companies that will make you a replacement in any style you want if you send them your original or a tracing.

It's built like a tank, feels, plays and sounds great. One of my favorites.

I can't stop looking at that bass online. I always wanted an American Fender Precision and wondered how the new Schecter basses would compare. I have a Schecter Damien Elite 4 that my wife bought be last Xmas and it's amazing.

I've been looking at it since it came out last year. It's solid as a rock, but easy to play. Pictures don't do it justice. You can dial in almost any sound you want. I couldn't be more happy with it.

Cool! However, wenever I see something like this it just cries out for a 3-way series/parallel/split switch. Ever consider putting another hole in there?

It comes with a push/pull on the volume. 4 position switch (which is a knob). Position 1 is the MM only
2 is the MM and P in Parallel
3 is the MM and P in series
4 is the P only.
There's a lot of tone in there

What he is playing is the swamp ash with a flamed top. He says its alder an alder body but they make a black one with a rosewood fretboard that's the alder one. Mine weighs about 8.5 pounds.

Haven"t played the p plus yet but I do own a diamond p custom and a model t session, both are excellent instruments. Schecter builds a lot of value and quality in these.. equal to or better than any Fender I've owned. enjoy!

I ordered a Schecter Diamond P Plus earlier today. I'm getting the DVS (Dark Vintage Sunburst) which comes with a Maple fingerboard. In my area options are limited, so I couldn't actually put my hands on one. I haven't found too many reviews for this bass so I figured I'd ask around. It "seems" to have all of the bases covered from looks to versatility, but dropping nearly 8 bills for something you've never played can make one nervous. Does anybody out there own one, or have even played one? I've been wanting a P/MM pup combo for a while, and I'm hoping it fits the bill. Thanks!

oh great.....more GAS now. I tried the Schecter Stiletto Stealth a couple of weeks ago with the same pickup configuration MM and Split- really loved it and thought it was a great deal for $499. This is more Fender-ish with even better pickups, I can easily imagine I would love it.

Fingerdub has one up for sale. Nice one too. If I weren't already in hot water with the wife for going against my New Years resolution this year and picking up a MM Sub Ray, I'd be all over that. I had a Schecter Elite not too long ago, a very nice bass, generally, I don't think they get their due props.
