Seriously, OP congrats on your Millennium 5. They are great basses.

I've gotten a few good deals on used gear at GC over the years - NEVER a good deal on new kit, never (I prefer used anyway) - but I've never seen them let something out the door without making their $$. Nothing wrong with that - this is the USA, after all.

Some truth to that, athough it's also true that whoever sold it failed, for whatever reason, to insist on getting its full value. It's not like GC bought it low but sold high, thus "ripping off" the seller; I suppose if anyone 'ripped' him or her off, it was me. Though had I seen this in the local CL for $200, I'd have called on it in a second. But for whatever reason, the seller chose not to list it there.
I bought a brand new Fender Roscoe Beck IV for $750 w/case a number of years ago. It had been on the wall, untouched, for over 2 years and they were blowing it out on one of their Memorial Day sales. List at the time was $2400, regularly $1700, so my $750 was an absolute steal.
I'm not sure TB is the best place to sell gear. But I've been clearing out some used gear lately.
Everyone wants a deal. Which I guess is human nature.
Used gear tends to be hard to move. If a person is in a hurry it get's to be harder.
