Just spoke to Jeff - Genz Benz content

you know, i was a bit annoyed at all the GB praise that was on these boards for the past year or two. until i became a Shuttle 6.0 and NeoX 212T owner, who had issues on both products all of a sudden.

both problems were corrected painlessly and much more quickly than the problems i've had with other big name american bass companies.

I have a Neopak that had stopped working. It was out of warranty but I was taken care as if it still was. Love the sound and it actually replaced an LMII. (i'm probably one of the few that did not like the LMII)
Looking to get a Shuttle 3.0 to use with my Schroeder Mini 10L for rehearsals and small get together.

Now, I've been running Eden gear for a few years (about 5 or so) with a variety of amps and cabs. And I still have love for the golden box, but I'm planning to be loyal to GB.

So, that's it. Just a quick rave about an experience that totally caught me off guard...for the better.

Hi, you seem like the right person to ask about this, How would you describe genz compared to eden soundwise? I have been using eden head for almost 10 years now and i feel like to see what's out there and i have been hearing good review about genz shuttle 6.0. If you can belp me describe genz benz's sound compared to eden that would be really great. I love my eden and I don't want to end up with a wrong amp. Thanks!

BG CS is great for sure, I play their gear myself, but it's a sad state of affairs when we have to praise a company for answering the phone. Unfortunately we do and thats one of the reasons I use Genz Benz.

Levin's has a lot of stock

I like the little amp in the left front...it is an acoustinc guitar amp I think...I wonder if it would be a fiddle amp?

The gear is great but so is their CS.. I dropped my MAX12 and had to send it in for repair.. Jeff aslso took care fo everything for me..
I thinkthat if more Companies handled their Customer Service the way Genz Benz does, those companies would be far more into the Black than the Red.

Genz Benz is one of Two companies that i have delt with regarding Customer Service that is Over The Top exceptional.. They should give Seminars to some of the major companies out there on how to do it the right way... IMO.

I have an Eden WT-500 with eden cabs (4X10T and 1X15T). Last year around christmas, I began using a Shuttle 6.0 and Neo2X12 cabs.

I still have my Eden, and I love how it sounds, but they are too damn heavy to gig with. The GB sounds great. It actually has more thump than the Eden does (an extra 100 watts over the Eden), but it sounds a bit cleaner. If I want my eden sound, I get a pretty good approximation with the Eden models on my Bass Pod through the GB.

I am still going to keep my Edens, but the GB is going to be my main rig because it sounds great and is SO much lighter and smaller than the Eden to gig with. The DI is not quite as good as the Eden's in that it buzzes a bit more, but it's only been a problem at one show (and that was likely a problem with the club's power).

I'm not even going to tell you what I paid for the GB because it was insanely cheap. All I can say, is the Best Offer function on eBay is the bomb. Sometimes, I'll put a ridiculous low ball offer up and sometimes, they take it.

Try the GB. As an Eden user, I was spoiled. but they are too damn heavy and Eden took too long putting out Neos.

I was on the user development team at Eden for 3 years and and played their gear exclusively for about 5 years. I love the Eden tone, and it is unique, but the tone from the Genz is much more variable. You can go from very clean to very gritty and all points in between based on how you eq and the bass you are using. The difference to me was the customer service. I was playing a Genz amp while my new Eden was in for repairs, and I found that the guys at Genz will go out of their way for their customers, no matter who they are. I was "in" at Eden and took 6 weeks to get a new amp repaired... I was some unknown guy from Dallas calling in to Genz when I had a minor issue but my needs were addressed immediately, and I got a follow up call from Jeff Genzler the next day to make sure I was "taken care of" properly. That was the day I became an endorsing artist for Genz Benz ... we worked out the details a bit later!! You just cant beat the people, or the gear!!!
