*SOLD* When I first got this bass, my girlfriend looked at it and said "Sweetness" -- referring to both the big "S" on the headstock and the caramel colored quilted maple body. I'm so sad to let this one go! But my small hands are just not built for a 5-string, and l must pay some bills. So my loss is your gain!
The bass has that characteristic Ken Smith sound: a super punchy mid-range, unbelievable slap tone when it's scooped, and something I can only describe as a "silky growl." I'm asking for $3500 (including shipping) in the continental US, 3600 if it's international, and $3400 flat for a local sale here in Los Angeles! A brand new one of these would cost you upwards of $5000 to $6000.
NO TRADES, please. Also, a sale in the continental U.S. is strongly preferred. PayPal and shipping just cost too much off the top, and PayPal offers the best protection for both buyer and seller! International buyers, please be aware that I need to net at least $3400 on this, after all the fees.
Please PM me if you're serious. This bass was previously owned by 2 great TalkBass-ers, both highly professional. They kept her in great condition. I have not gigged with her at all. The only flaw now is some slight worming on the back of the body, but it's barely visible in bright light. (Pics below)
Here are the specs on this gorgeous Ken Smith BMT 5 7x7!
