Kerly Long Life Strings

Who's tried Kerly Long Life strings? The maker claims that their heat-treating makes them last longer without coating.

Hmmm, never heard of them. We have gone from Dean Markley and their cryogenic strings to heat treating strings. What neither of those things addresses is one of the main reasons strings die...build up of gunk in the windings. I don't care how hot or how cold they treat their strings, they are still going to get dirty. The coating on strings does this, I don't like them, but it seals them from the crud.

That's what I thought. Cleaning strings doesn't do much to lengthen their life, for the same reason I'd say.

I'd like to add that a regime of cleaning your hands before playing, and wiping the strings down after play goes a long way to adding life to strings. Took me some time to get it, also playing with fingers as apposed to a pick adds to the issue gunging up the strings above the pick-ups. Every little helps.

Nothing works for me. Whatever the oils are in my hands kills strings after a couple nights Elixir or nothing for me, unfortunately

For some reason I kill nickel strings. Stainless not so much. But the Kerly strings sound like a cool expiriment. I like Blue steels so if these aren't too expensive I'll see what I think.
