key specific tone woods

Hey All

I was thinking about tone woods today for future projects today, and I remembered an article I saw in Guitarist magazine demonstrating the use of a contact tuner - the gist of which was the idea of selecting specific necks/bodies that were tuned to a certain note (like a body that naturally resonates at E and combining it with a neck that also naturally resonates at E or a relative key) with a view of making a more in tune instrument.

I was curious if anyone has actually tried this?
