Disadvantage: finding a keyboard player

And drummer.

I live near Campbellsville University. They are big on music degrees and have a fairly significant foreign student presence. I went to the music director's church one time and it was hilarious. In the middle of the lilly white bible belt and an almost full orchestra that is about 2/3 Asian.

I've thought about creating a "classic" rock/country band and having sort of "revolving door" members take up keys, etc. I've worked with some of these kids. They are mesmerized by the history of American pop music.

My question to you is, would you write him off? Should we just not charge him, as weve been paying already anyway?

As usual, I'd say that just depends. I've been on both sides of this, where I provided space, dinner, and beer for bandmates and their families twice a week in order to make things work, to a similar situation in reverse, to having a bass playing roomie charge a drummer reverse rent, where he had to pay a storage fee for every week he didn't show up at least once to rehearse. How badly do you want/need him?

I would too with 2 gigs per month and paying rent on a rehearsal room. You guys should find a room that charges by the hour and use it sparingly.

Honestly, I'm not here to get in a p**sing match with anyone. Our wives are all supportive.

At the end of the day, we can afford to rent the space. It is usually covered with gigs. It suits our needs.

Really this is not what i intended with this thread. You and i will have to agree to disagree i guess.

I'm sorry, but what makes you think that YOU are more qualified know what you want to do than a bunch of anonymous strangers on the internet? You Canadians are a cheeky lot.

Find another willing to pay his share.

+1. Looks like two members need to avoid each other.

Just as a note to all, if you're going to report someone else's post, it really does not reflect well on you if you continue a childish back and forth with that person - especially if your intent in reporting was to keep the thread from being derailed.
