Kick drum sustain

I've yet to encounter a kick with insufficient sustain. And I've yet to encounter an electronic kit I liked. I've heard a lot of good sounding cymbals though.

One more point, the center of the bass drum is a dead zone. Good for funk, but usually not for other styles. Arrange for the beater to hit off center. Raise or lower the bass drum or the beater.

But if you trigger, it won't matter.
