Have you ever achieve this sound? It has been recorded in the Telefunken studio in US, surprisingly not with an old tube ampeg amp with a vintage mic but with a DI in the mixer. It's kind of dirty. I hear extra low frequency rumble, like a speaker cone vibration. Since it's coming directly from the instrument, what makes that very good sound? The part is played mostly on the B string which helps. But what else? What is your advice? The strings? The instrument? The pickups? I made some experiments and found a few tricks that I will share tomorrow. (The audio file starts after a few seconds)
