Check out my "new to me" Highway 1 P bass I scored off Eprey. I think it's a 2004 that had been upgraded by the previous owner with a black Badass II, black pickguard, and 1/4 Pounder p/u. He apparently played with a pick which left the pickguard quite scratched up so I replaced it with a fresh one along with new pickguard screws (old ones were oxidized). I also gave it the once over with the Maguire's auto polish and wax which did a nice job (thanks Talkbass for the suggestion). A pro set-up from a local tech and she is all set for action. Sweet no?

how much did that tasty delight cost? Did it come with a case?

I was the only bidder at $550 + shipping including a molded hsc. I just saw an American standard CA red / maple with S-1switch and hsc go for the same. The bridge and p/u upgrades are in order in either case in my opinion. I happened to get lucky and they were already done. I expected more flaws on the body than it had and was pleasantly surprised. It seems the Hwy series guitars and basses are dinged up before they leave the showroom at the local GC.
