Killer Ritter!

I played this one a few weeks ago. Sounds and plays good and at $3500 it is a deal compared to the new ones. But where would you gig this thing? I would look like an idiot in a dive bar playing covers with it. They are not worth (IMO) what they go for new.

Come to think of it... I have never seen a Ritter gigged. Even by a pro.

2nd bass down....

LMAO. One of my good buddies here in town (and fellow TBer) gigs with his Ritter, playing covers in dive bars. :p His is really tame though, just a flamed maple top that's natural and isn't flashy at all, though the shape is obviously that of a Ritter so it does look a little out of place in a roadhouse.

Even better, he has a Drozd as his backup.

It sounds killer though, and he rocks the bezeebus out of that bass.

FWIW, I've played plenty of high-end basses (Fodera, Wal, etc.), and that Ritter has the best construction of any bass I've ever seen.

Thats a killer instrument and a hell of a deal. I think it is new it's just been kicked around to a few different retailers. He had three "used" ones on there, I guess the other two went quick though!

I gig my Ritter on the regular. It has a very nice sound and records very well. This is me at The Loft in Atl. Also if you click my links the Sydefx link all songs on there but Huster are recorded with the Ritter (only because I wasn't with the band when it was recorded). And the Diamond J link Brown Hair and Bring It are some kinda ghetto live recordings with it.

Not my favorite looking Ritter, but I'm usually not a fan of blocks.
