I’ve had the top removed from my sparkle king a few times with no adverse effects. That’s a hell of a deal for an American made King. Does it have a pickup included?

But this bass is in mint condition,the obe things you need is rags cleaning to remove the dust)
And the price now is 1400$

Is this bass only for slap?
What about jazz pizz( like old Kay or Am.standard upright)?

They are built for rockabilly and rock music in general. They are feedback resistant for when you need to play loudly through an amplifier. The same qualities that make them feedback resistant make them sound worse acoustically, less resonant. These are not designed or even intended for a jazz or classical player, where strong acoustic sound is preferred.

I bought this bass from the guy already,cause I do play rockabilly and jazz and I abuse them
First of all the company is out of business,sounds good and it’s USA made
It’s close to Engelhardt with nicer neck though
