Kip Winger

As someone who stated in a previous post:I don't think musicians like Reb Beach and Rod Morgenstein (who also happens to be the drummer for The Dregs!!MORSE,LaRUE,ETC.) would be caught dead on stage/or,in a band with a poseur.
Also, out of pretty much ALL the bands from that era:Have you all heard the vocalists nowadays???They suck!!They can't hit the high notes that they used to hit.I think his vocals are stronger/better than ever.

Also, didn't we just go thru this with Rudy Sarzo, another fine bass player from this era/genre of music??

Yes I agree, however, considering that Rudy wasn't a front man, Your argument is invalid ;) ;) j/k......

This era music will always catch flack....... but I don't sweat it.

That opening sequence is so cheesy and ironic I think. Didn't Kip's wife die in a car accident?

Cheesy yes, ironic no. I remember reading in an old issue of Bass Frontiers or Bassics that she died of inoperable cancer. Kind of sad really - no matter how much money you make and you can't help your loved ones. Oh well...where's the beer at?

Small detour from the conversation... but speaking of Winger, I'd hate to be a guitarist now, because no gig is safe from "Reb Beach" that dude is just "Redonkulous" for a couple of years that I saw him in like "3" different bands.. Dokken, Whitesnake, and NightRanger.... let alone all studio stuff he did in Nashville, during the decline of guitar in the 90's. I'm just saying that dude is his own "stimulus" package!! continue on discussing Kip Winger now!! "She's only 17....." how bad/perverse that sounds now that I'm 40!!! can't be singing along to that one with the girlfriend in the car.....
