Klyde Jones bass sound?

Hi Bass players.
I was watching a YouTube video Hall and Oates live from Dublin 2014.

Klyde Jones was on bass.
On the second verse of “Kiss on my list”..he does this solo bass fill..it sounds sub harmonic /synth type thing.

Does anyone know what he used to get that sound?
I can’t find a rig rundown or gear list anywhere.

I thought it might be a left hand keyboard playing it with him..but I don’t see anyone s hands moving..and he has that I’m stepping on a pedal stance.

Can you post a video with the exact timing? I have checked it but don’t hear the fill. Or do mean the little thing right before the pre chorus? I only hear chorus there, no harmonizing thing.

At the 1:39 mark…
I couldn’t hear it on my phone..but in my bass heavy truck or earphones it’s there.
Sounds like an octave or envelope filter,it’s very slight…you can hear on the deep notes.
I was actually trying to figure out the “gospel style” chords the keyboard player did right after..when I kept backing the track up I could hear it.
Daryl Hall is really great at arranging and making cool versions of his old songs

Just sounds like a simple sub-octave pedal (BOSS OC-2 and newer / EHX POG).

Ah, that makes all the difference. This live version is totally different than the original track. I agree it’s an octaver.
