Weird I could swear I saw it on their site the other day. But that’s good news and thanks for sharing.

From the first document it sounds like the NYC location eviction date is January 1, 2025. So any activities or projects that depend on that location will probably stop then if not before. That's in 20 days from today.

Whether the complete "strings" production, including shipping, packaging and bookkeeping, has anything to do with the NYC location or not is hard to say.

I certainly hope any setups, repairs and/or consignments in the NYC location have been picked up by their owners by December 31. Keep in mind that a new location in Florida has been opened during this year; any NYC setups, repairs and/or consignments that are moved to the Florida location will probably at least be more complicated to re-claim.

When it was discussed here earlier this year that there was a new location in Florida, there were lots of questions about why. It seems from the two documents discussed in this thread, that there are at least partial answers now.

I always felt like Kolstein's prices were high but Barrie was always very kind to me and let me play everything as long as I wanted. I never ruled out buying something from him as it was a full service shop that was an institution and seemed like a good investment down the road even if I paid top dollar for a bass up front. There are some lovely and important instruments there. I hope this comes to a reasonable end. I always felt like Kolstein was an important part of the bass landscape in New York.

Walked by the Manhattan store on my way to the dentist this morning. Store is very much closed and empty but signage is still up.

Looks like Kolstein vs. Kolstein's has until the end of March to reach a settlement. Invalid Link Removed

I had a very bad experience with the shop and I am not surprised that there's other nonsense going on.
Would be curious to know about your bad experience if you are willing to share. Might be helpful for others to know about, especially knowing that the shop might not be on the best footing at the moment.
