Korg Beatboy

Anyone try one of these yet? Looking to get something simple to play bass or guitar to.

Check out the Singular Sound Beatbuddy. So cool and intuitive.

Looks like only a simple drum machine, probably the same as the Korg Pandora, which has a few more features such as letting you jam to slowed down mp3s. The Zoom B1on is another option that includes a basic drum machine, FX and headphone amp.

Been thinking about buying the Beatboy. Only thing I don't like is that it powered by 3 AAA batteries ONLY...no power supply input.
Per the Korg website:
Battery life*
(when using the speaker / when using headphones)
Recorder: Approximately 3.5 / 11 hours
Drum machine: Approximately 9 / 12 hours
Tuner: Approximately 11 / 16 hours
*Continuous operation when using alkaline batteries with the backlight off and the volume at maximum.

Looks like I'll be changing batteries once per week if I use it for daily practice.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a cheap (<$60) drum/rhythm machine?

The Alesis SR-16 is made since a felt eternity, rather cheap and there is a reason that it is still available. Very realistic drumsounds.
Maybe look for a used one?
