Korg DTR 1000 Footswitch?

Does anyone know where to get one of these? I used to have one, but have no clue what happened to it. From what I remember, it looked like a little round black rubber landmine w/ a silver pushbutton on top and about a 10ft cable attached w/ a 1/4" jack that plugged into the mute function.

If they dont sell these anymore, does anyone know if there's some aftermarket footswitch that will also work?

The DTR-1000 doesn't come with a footswitch. That "landmine" thing you're talking about sounds like one type of generic footswitch.

And yes, any aftermarket footswitch will do the trick. Just look for one with a single switch (LATCHING, not momentary... if that question comes up). The jack on the cable should be 1/4" mono.

Search any big online store for "single footswitch", and you can use practically any of them. Unless you're looking for something fancy, any of those will do. If it can be used for amps, it can be used for the tuner, as long as the plug on the end is 1/4" mono

Here's a random example from Musician's Friend: Link Removed

Here's one of those "landmine" ones - but this one's overpriced, IMO: Link Removed

This one's not, but the first one I showed you is cheaper: Link Removed

The latching/momentary thing tends to come up with less conventional switches - like the pad-style ones that Boss makes.

the Boss FS-5U for the momentary on/off looks like the ticket man! I've been guilty on more than one occasion of not turning the mute off after tuning at practice and at a show or two. This would definately fix that issue, thanks TaySte 2000!

Hmm... never thought about that. But I'm usually pretty good about turning it off. My amp's footswitch has a tuner mute button... so the LED tells me if I forgot. :D

As long as you keep your foot on the switch, a momentary could be pretty useful, now that I think about it...
