you can get lots of sounds. the bypass is that the pedal sucks some tone when bypassed (off). great pedal though, been a long time since i had one but was fun when i did have it.
There's an synth effect in the Zoom MS-60b and B3 that appears to be inspired by the G5. I wonder how they compare?
