Korg Monotron on Bass

I think that it's great. I have it hooked through a few old micro rack effects that I have......Boss RDD-20 and RRV-10. Just to be used for fun extra sounds live where we use spaced out noise for song breaks, background, etc. I might hook it up to my Space Echo 201 and give that a whirl. Even a fart generator sounds good through that thing.

It will replace my theremin onstage which is very wishy washy at every club based on their electricity. I'm building a little box for it and it will serve it's purpose. I might add a swollen pickle to the chain.

I wouldn't ever compare it to my juno 60 as nothing beats that one for sound, but it's also not something I want to trudge to every show along with my bass gear so this fits the bill easily for this band.

Good grief. Mount the little beasty on a mic stand. Run your cable to it. You now gots device that allows hands on control. For you and perhaps your synth player to get their mitts on to. I sometimes run my bass processor to my Korg Kaos pad3. It can be a fun experience with bass to. Just like this new fangled thing korgs put out. Besides ya wanna retain the ability to use its fingers on built in synth. Play some bass synth to. Lol. And yes I may be getting one of these korg monotrons to add to my synth and processor rig in the future.

Dang it, I'm pretty tempted by this thing. I'm picturing myself velcroing it to one of my basses, Muse-style and busting out the synth keys on when the situation allows.

I really thought that my M13 would at least temporarily cure my effects GAS. No such luck.

If it had a MIDI in and 1/4 jacks, it would be more than a toy, and I'd have one. A ribbon "keyboard" ?? What exactly are you going to do with that? Ooooo look I can make glissandos

guess who just got himself a monotron (and bored the life out of there girlfriend while him and the store clerke talked about synths)

ill probs do some demos tomorrow since its nearly 12 at night in glasgow and my fingers are really cold (i think they will be lucky to survive the scottish winter)

i just played one of these the other day and they are awesome! so fun and great tone in such a little inexpensive box. i'm excited to hook my bass up to it, not expecting much (i enjoy it fine on its own) but i'm excited

One of the dudes from my band has one and uses it as a stand alone type of synth. The monotron rules! It makes crazy sounds. So cool.

i played with one in a store for like a half hour when it was new. i was smitten. didnt get to play an instrument through it, but we plugged it into a set of powered monitors and i just made noise. wonderful noise.

i have had the pleasure of running my bass through a moog voyager once. the sounds.. they were incredible.

i could see using this for both crazy noise and running instruments though it. feel like the cables would get to be a mess though. its so tiny.

i really just want to make songs with it. i was able to get a pulsing bass drum out of it. could easy compose entire songs.
