Korg Pitchblack in sunlight

Can you see it?
In bright, direct sunlight? No, not really. At least I couldn't at a festival I played recently. But I think that's true of pretty much all tuners. In those situations I like to find a way to throw just a bit of shade on my board. In this case I set it right up against one of the stage monitors which worked well enough for me.
But if you're just asking about playing outside in natural light, then yeah, you can see it okay.

I find that my Pitchblack is a bit more difficult to see in daylight. I normally try and tune up in some shade before going on stage in such an event, my tuner has batteries specifically for this reason.
In direct sunlight it is very hard to see most tuners.
With that said, I sold my Boss TU2 because it was impossible to see in outdoor venues even with not so direct sunlight.
I later got a Korg Pitchblack and it is a lot better in every way. Smaller, true bypass, more accurate, faster and easier to read display.
I really really like it and recommend it.

It's basically impossible to see in direct sunlight. Whenever I use mine outside during the day I have to stand so that my shadow falls on it. Even then it's pretty hard to see. Otherwise I think it's fantastic.

I asked because my Peterson and Boss pedals are useless in direct sunlight. So it was a serious question but I do appreciate your seeing an ironic twist to the phrasing. As Foghorn Leghorn once said "Nice boy. Strange sense of humor"

I guess this is a good reason to keep my old Korg BT-2 around. It's got a real needle. Nice tuner.

We just have been getting lots of threads where the point is to cause a commotion!
And with your title, it was easy to assume that.
When I do outdoor events, I tend to lean more toward my Korg DTR-1000. I use an a/b pedal so I can have true silent tuning.
I had a Planet Waves Chromatic and sold it for the Pitchblack. It does a lot better than the PW in the sunlight.
I am not a big fan of having my gear in direct sunlight for long periods of time. I had a friend make me a shield that surrounds my pedalboard on 3 sides but still allows me to have full access to each pedal. It's awesome!
Pitchblack above all other, IMHO.
