Kramer 6000B info?

anyone know about these like what they might be worth and what the switches do? Are the pickups Dimarzio's or Kramer's. Any Info would be appreciated. The model is actually a DMZ 6000B

Well, The DMZ6000B should have Dimarzio's.... the pickups are white, arent they?
It is possible they were swapped out along the way...
It should also have crown inlays in the Ebonol Fretboard.
Well, these were made In America, from 1979-1985.
If you think the price is good, then go for it.
I can't tell what they do from memory, but it has four knobs, and three mini switches, correct?

It looks like they are the original white/cream covers and pickups. So they are probably DiMarzios then. And yes 4 knobs but it is active/passive so I guess one switch must be a pickup selector. one would be active/passive switch Guess I'll just have to figure that part out. thanks for the info.

As long as it only weighed as much as a Buick Cutlass and not as much as A Caddilac Fleetwood Then I am good to go with it. And if it sounds Good too then that is a plus.

If you like it definitely go for it... those Kramers were a rare breed...
And by the way, im pretty sure, after thinking it over that those three mini switches SHOULD be:
1. Series Parralel for the pickups as a set
2. Dual Coil/split coil for the P
3. Dual Coil/split coil for the J
... I want to think that the Dimarzio jazz pickup is a dual coil, but stacked... It may not be, but i want to think so.
... Then again, I may be totally off, and in that case i apologize...
Keep us updated.... and be sure and tell us what those Knobs and switches do!

As Far As I can tell it is all original. I don't think the pickups have been changed and everything else looks like it is original. I'll post a picture of it when I pick it up Thursday.

I just snagged a 4000 P-type for 350.00 in good shape was thinking Darkstar on this one ? Opinions?

Does the DMZ4000B still have the pickups in it?
Are they Dimarzios?

Thanks for the tip . Well I picked it up and some moron has changed the pickups to EMGunk's and disconnected all the switches. Have to find a wiring diagram somewhere any Ideas? Also has a bent tuner are these schaller tuners hence the s on the back I may just replace the set . So now I am on a mission to find the diagram for this Bass. And I'll post Pics in the AM
