Kustom cabs??

I've bought a Kustom deep end 200W just about 3 days ago. As I've not a cab I'm running it into the speaker of my 60W combo until I buy a cabinet (4x10).
I've heard many of you say that Kustom cabs are not so good, that distort, etc. But here, in my counry I don't have too many options.
I wanted to know if the ''problem'' with these cabs concerns their speakers or the way they are designed. I don't know if a bad design/assembly can cause distortion or maybe the problem is on the speakers. Both lines, Deep ENd and Groove Bass show this problems?
Well, any info will be appreciated..

I'm curious if you're talking about the old Kustoms from the 60-70's or the new ones?

I bought a couple 2x15 Kustom GrooveBass cabs. I'm pretty happy with them. I got them brand new for close-out price. I've used them for about 8 months now and they are holding up just fine. I don't care for the horn a whole lot, but I've not yet heard a horn that I like. The cabs are nothing special, and they won't make you shine or anything, but they seem to be clear and tight. And I've yet to hear them distort. I good buy that I would make again, given the knowledge I have now and the opportunity I had then. As far as construction goes, again, nothing special. You can clearly see the seams on the covering. The corner guards are plastic, but seem sturdy enough. The grille is solid. The input doesn't lock the speakon cables as well as other cabs, but I'm not saying the cables are loose either. I guess one could say that for the price, they are great, and I would have no problems replacing one with the same if something ever happened to it. I do plan on adding skid rails at some point though. I hope this helps a bit. Sorry to not have any info on the 4x10's though.

Thanks, that's useful. The 2x15's are now discontinued. Have you compared them with any other brand?
Mabe the speakon cables not being so for firm is due to the cables and not the cabinet.. have you tried with another cables, or the same cables with other cab? Are you running them through a kustom head?

I'm sorry that I can't say I've been able to compare them to a similar cab from a different brand. As far as the cable connections go, it is the jacks. The same cables lock as designed in my other cabs. But like I said, they are by no means loose and there's no way they're going to come unplugged on stage. I think the jack plate just isn't equipped for that metal pin that you have to pull before you twist to unplug them--the plastic still snaps in place and holds firmly when you twist them. I used a Carvin head for it first and now I'm using a rack of all different brands of equipment (no longer including the Carvin) and don't plan an getting rid of these cabs anytime in the foreseeable future.

This is just my experience with the company. I didn't expect much, since I didn't pay much. But I think I hit gold with these. I don't know if that's true for any other or their products, or any other of their dual 15s at that. Good luck with your decision, and save your receipt.
