Kustom replacement speakers.

I have a 1968 Kustom 215 tuck and roll cab and I need to replace the speakers,
I was looking at 15" offerings from Carvin but would like to know what would be the ideal replacement for this cab.
I use a Carvin BX600 head and a LTD D-5 and play a wide variety of stuff from the 50's and up through the 80's.
All suggestions will be considered and careful thought will be used to make this decision.

I don't know about ideal replacement....but I always use Carvin speakers in my cabinets (more definition). BTW, I also play through a BX600

They were boxes, not "designed" for any special driver. Built for looks only, JBL, Altec, Eminence 3015, Failtal 15PR400. Take your choice.

I have a kuston 2X15 tuck and roll, Replaced my spealers with Eminence beta's
It sounds great.
The cabinet has been with me for 36 years.

I did this myself about 2 years ago through research here we found eminence legend 154 to be best modern choice. So if you have the bank roll put some original jbl's in there. If not I dont think you can beat the legends they were alsome in there! Bert slide has that cab if you want to ask his opionen.

All of these suggestions sound great, I will admit the Carvins were my first choice but I want to see what everyone else are using in this old cab so I can make a more informed choice.

Consider using Eminence Beta or Delta series 15s. I run these in my Ampeg B2 combo with good results. For a neodymium speaker, Eminence Basslites work well too.
