This is the third L2500/L2000 Trib I've owned, and this one will not be leaving my posession! A previous owner replaced the stock preamp with an Audere 3ZB and now each pickup also has its own parallel/single coil/series switch.

    Here are a few shots:

In addition to being able to blend the pickups, the nicest thing for me is the treble control. I can dime it and all I get is clarity - no hiss, no harshness. Now, with one or both pickups in series I can add clarity to the power. Very cool!

as the aforementioned previous owner, I can say - that bass just sings. A very musical instrument! I'm really glad you like that one. I thought it turned out as an amazing playing, sounding bass.

Did you play it E through C before re-stringing ?

I did a little, but I've got it strung BEADG now. It's perfect! I love the fact that I can boost the treble and get clarity! I can go vintage to modern with one knob twist!
