La Bella deep talking strings

Probably a stupid question, just got my first set of la Bella strings and they have like plastic cubes with numbers on at the end. Do I fit them like that or somehow take these "dice" things off.
I have only ever used rotos before and can't get any info from the web. Thanks.

Take them off... They are there to show what each string is as these do not have string envelopes.

thanks very much, I thought it had to be, but there is not one thing on the net about the dice numbers, so just had to ask the question to be sure. I shall wear the Stupid Hat.

That's what I figured--Bootsy was having difficulty stringing up his star bass.

Hi....Just joined the this site, and I had the same question, so it's not such a dumb question. I never used LaBella Strings, so never saw this before. So thanks for the great info SlapInPunk. I have a Short Scale Ibanez, put the first LaBella String on. If it sounds as good as it feels, they have a customer for life.

Resurrecting an old thread but they actually work pretty good if have silks that are sitting on the bridge saddles, you can leave them on behind the bridge

Those are not even La Bella strings, are they? Only the numbered cubes are.

Oh I see what you're trying to show with this pic. You can use the La Bella cubes as extenders at the ball ends to prevent the silked ends from sitting over the saddle. I get it now.

Well now, how about that? I always thought they would crush under string tension.

I think I'll give this a try with the E string on my Precision with a modern bridge so the silk isn't verging on starting to wrap around the tuner peg.

Works great. No issues
